Here is a breakdown of how the various parties polled in Wiltshire in the European

elections.
Turnout was 42.69%; buoyed above the national average by the local council elections

Conservative Party:         51,576    (34.79%)         (27.7%)

 
UK Independence Party: 29,723    (20.25%)         (16.5%)

 

Liberal Democrats:          26,507    (17.88%)         (13.7%)

 

Green Party:                    12,946    (8.73%)           (8.6%)

 
Labour Party:                     7,987    (5.39%)          (15.7%)

 
British National Party:        5,449    (3.68%)          (6.2%)

The UKIP North Wiltshire and Chippenham Branch holds regular evening meetings at The Lysley Arms, Pewsham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 3RU for members on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm.

There is a 'hustings' meeting for all the Parliamentary Candidates in the North Wiltshire Constituency in Purton on Tuesday 27th April. The venue is confirmed for St Mary's CE Primary School, Purton, SN5 4AR, Upper School Hall - with Parking at Bradon Forest Secondary School SN5 4AT - immediately next door.

Charles Bennett will be attending.

Time slot 7.30pm - 9.00pm

There will also probably be be a Churches 'hustings' meeting in Cricklade. The most likely date for this is emerging as Wednesday 28th April 2010 at 8pm.

The venue is yet to be confirmed. Charles Bennett will also be attending this meeting.
